Pink Ladies of Argyll – Members’ Forum Guidelines
This private online space has been created exclusively for women affected by breast cancer to connect, share experiences, ask questions and support one another in a safe and understanding environment.
Who can register?
Access is available to women who:
Have received a breast cancer diagnosis (past or present).
Live in Argyll and support the values of Pink Ladies of Argyll.
All registration requests will be reviewed before access is granted. We may contact you if we require further information.
Before you register
By creating an account you agree to:
Respect each other
Please treat every member with kindness, compassion and respect. Everyone’s experience is different and all journeys are valid.
Keep the forum confidential
This is a private members-only space. Information shared within the forum should remain within the forum unless you have the express permission of the person who posted it.
Protect your privacy
Only share information that you are comfortable making available to other members. Please avoid posting personal addresses, financial information or other sensitive personal details.
Be supportive
The forum exists to encourage and support one another. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, abusive language or personal attacks will not be tolerated.
Medical information
Members are welcome to share their own experiences, but advice given on the forum should never replace professional medical guidance. Always speak to your breast care nurse, GP or medical team regarding your own treatment or health concerns.
No advertising
The forum is not a place for unsolicited marketing.
Moderation
Our volunteer moderators may edit, remove or close posts that breach these guidelines or are considered inappropriate. Accounts may be suspended or removed where necessary to protect the safety of the community.
Account security
Please keep your login details private. Your account is for your personal use only and should not be shared with anyone else.
Registration Approval
To help protect our community:
Every registration is individually reviewed.
Access may take up to 48 hours.
We reserve the right to decline or remove access where we believe it is necessary to safeguard our members.
